My Family

Bear with me. I'm practicing making up sentences. Currently in Unit 3 of Mastering Arabic by Jane Wightwick and Mahmoud Gaafar, a brilliant book. Will write about this book later.

Ana Hasma, wa haza Shahril, huwa zauji. (uhibbu zauji...hehehe- ada paham?)
Ana Hasma, wa haza zauji Shahril.
Ana Hasma, wa haza Adam, huwa ibni.
Ana Hasma, wa haza ibni Adam.
Ana Hasma, wa hazihi Asmah, hiya ukhti.
Ana Hasma, wa hazihi ukhti Asmah.
Ana Hasma, wa haza zauji Shahril wa zalika ukti Asmah.

A teacher's advice...

Look at what The Teacher (still not sure which one is his name-Nabeel? or Asif?) said in the last part of the video...

'Arabic is very easy to learn.  And I will prove it to you. But you've got to work hard..'(ok of course teacher)

But you do make it easier..thank you.. thank you..ooppss I mean...syukran ustaz..jazakallahu khair...barakallahu fiik..kataballahu lakaláafiah.... :) ...see..i'm getting there.. :P

(it is comforting to know that half of arabic speakers are non-Arabs)...so it must be easy...

A Great Teacher

Alhamdulillah, I've found a great teacher who posted his classes on Youtube. I think his name is Nabeel and he is teaching in Canada. It really feels like sitting in his classroom (at your own free time!). And he teaches with the assumption that all his students are not familiar at all with arabic, which suits me very well. What's more, he teaches with the aim that the students will understand the Quran, and the example of sentences are taken from the Quran. Click on the link on the right side bar to get to his full Youtube channel and access all his classes.

Just look at him singing this grammar song that he made himself. You will love him too :)
